The Austrian Energy & Environment Group — A-TEC’s Plant Construction Division — is one of the world's leading suppliers of power generation and environmental technologies.

The division has responded to the strong demand for skilled labour in its main markets by mounting high-pressure personnel marketing campaigns, and has stepped up appearances at careers fairs at universities, and technical and vocational schools.
Talks are also frequently given at training institutions. At the start of 2007 the division launched a high potential programme aimed at up-and-coming managers which was continued into 2008.

During the year under review the division created a management development programme and the training effort also targeted the purchasing function as part of a group-wide programme. The specialist courses were accompanied by training at the AE&E Academy which offers professional training on more than 50 subjects.
