The Plant Construction Division — which comprises the Vienna
headquartered Austrian Energy & Environment (AE&E) Group — is
the largest in A-TEC Industries, contributing about 44% of consolidated
revenue. The Division brings together such internationally successful
companies as Austrian Energy & Environment AG, Von Roll Inova
Holding and Babcock Power España. The Division owes its success to
experience and technical expertise dating back some 150 years, and
strong global and local industrial brands. Most of these companies can
look back on illustrious traditions that have now found a successful
continuation in the AE&E Group. With a corporate culture shaped by
an ethos of innovation, AE&E has an integrated portfolio of
products and services for private and public sector power generators,
municipalities and industrial companies.
Today the AE&E Group is one of the leading international suppliers of thermal generation and environmental systems. It operates five business units and acts as a full line supplier of all the technologies relevant to industrial and municipal utility power generation. As a one stop supplier, AE&E delivers comprehensive solutions along the entire value chain, and is gaining from the steadily growing global demand for environmental and power generation equipment.
AE&E’s product portfolio includes boilers and boiler plants, flue gas purification systems, waste incinerators, turnkey biomass and industrial power plants, coal gasification units, valves, and services ranging from engineering design to plant upgrading and operation.
The AE&E Group posted preliminary revenues of EUR 1,046 million in 2007, and currently employs some 4,700 people in Vienna and Graz (Austria), Zurich (Switzerland), Cologne, Nuremberg and Ratingen (Germany), Brno (Czech Republic), Paris (France), Bilbao and Madrid (Spain), Slavonski Brod (Croatia), Moscow (Russia), Norcross (USA), Shanghai and Nanjing (China), Chennai (India), Sao Paulo (Brazil) and Sydney (Australia).
